Lisa Marie Presley returns to Nashville to promote CD Storm & Grace on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Exit/In. The show starts at 7:00 P.M. Call in sick (ah-choo), pawn the dog; do what you have to do to get tickets, this will be an amazing show.
“The Exit/In is a great venue for a show,” says local musician Ashley Hart. “And it’s a fun place to play. There isn’t a bad seat in the house, and the people are great!” Be sure the check the FAQ’s on the website and know this is an 18+ venue, it is non-smoking, and there are limited tables available.
Lisa Marie Presley returns to Nashville after wow-ing us at The Grand Ol’ Opry several months ago. This is not a show that relies on electronic voice augmentation or computer – generated sound. Lisa is 100% real, 100% live. And this will probably jolt Nashville listeners to some extreme, as we are so accustomed to ‘singers’ who do rely on a computerized tweak here and there (or everywhere).
Presley will be promoting her latest CD, Storm & Grace, which definitely has a different sound than her first two CD’s, Rolling Stone calls it, “The album she was born to make.” Presley’s first CD, To Whom it May Concern, was a toe in the water, a potpourri of emotions. Then came Now What, which was fun, jumping, and in-your-face. Both CDs featured cerebral tunes (“Raven” was penned for mom Priscilla but could be applied to several emotions) and ‘gotchas’ (play “Idiot” after a bad breakup and you will feel better). Storm & Grace feels different, darker, more thoughtful. Her voice shines like her viewpoints: raw, honest, thoughtful, and intelligent.

Lisa Marie Presley is a dichotomy of emotions and personalities, and it shows in her music writing range. She can be introspective, silly, fun, and still angered by false promises. She can give a secret wink to those close to her when the press and the judges move her about like a chess piece; she is raw and honest in interviews. This is what makes her special.
Presley visits Nashville on a November tour. Miss it and you’ll be jealous of those who got tickets.
