Taking his mind off things: Prince Jackson heads out for lunch with girlfriend Remi as footage emerges of his courtroom testimony
With his sister in hospital and his father's death being relived in court, life is far from easy for Prince Jackson.,
But the teen took his mind off his troubles as he headed out for lunch with his supportive girlfriend Remi Alfalah at his side on Wednesday.
The pair headed to Rock Sugar in Los Angeles as footage emerged of Prince's testimony in the Jackson family's wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG.

The footage shows Prince relive the last days of his father Michael Jackson as he testifys against controversial family chef Kai Chase.
Looking tense and wearing a black T-shirt while sipping water, the teenager spoke during a recorded deposition back in March.
The family chef had previously testified that The King Of Pop had become so weak that Prince had to carry his father up the stairs of their rented Beverly Hills mansion.

A lawyer from concert promoter AEG asked Prince if there was ever a time Michael was so tired from rehearsal that he couldn’t make it up the stairs.
Shaking his head Prince, 16, drinks a sip of water before replying: 'I wouldn't be able to either, no.'
His testimony is in stark contrast to what the chef had previously stated which represents very important information in the multi-million dollar lawsuit.
Katherine Jackson and Michael's three children contend that AEG failed to properly investigate his physician Conrad Murray - who was convicted in 2011 of the involuntary manslaughter death of the famous singer.

Jurors in the case also saw a portion of Paris Jackson's deposition in which she claimed that the children's nanny Grace Rwaramba was 'obsessed' with their father.
Paris - who is still recovering in hospital after a recent suicide bid - told lawyers for AEG that they would get 'creeped-out' by her information.

She claimed that her father did not like the nanny because she felt she was 'sneaky' and 'lied a lot'.

Paris stated that Rwaramba would pretend that she was her father's wife if they were staying at a hotel.
'When he would stay in a hotel, or whatever, she would call the hotel and say that she was his wife - she was obsessed with him,' Paris said.

'They let her in and he'd wake up and she would be in her bed.'
Lawyers for the Jackson family told the judge on Wednesday that expected to rest their case by July 8.

Paris Jackson Upset Taped Deposition Was Played In Open Court During Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Posted on Jun 24, 2013 @ 2:57AM | By Jen Heger
FameFlynet

Paris Jackson , who remains hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center following a suicide attempt almost three weeks ago, became very upset when told an excerpt of her videotaped deposition was played for the jury in the wrongful death trial of her father, Michael Jackson, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Michael Jackson’s only daughter, was told by her biological mother, Debbie Rowe, during a visit last week, “that an excerpt of the deposition was played to the jury. It upset Paris because the trial has brought back a lot of very painful memories. Debbie didn’t go into a lot of details about the trial, but felt Paris needed to know. Paris is still extremely fragile, and is being very, very closely monitored,” a source tells us.

As previously reported, looking poised and confident, Paris smiled, laughed and joked with lawyers deposing her in the billion dollar wrongful death lawsuit of her late father – just months before she attempted suicide.

In the brief excerpt of the deposition played for jurors last week, Paris made shocking statements about former nanny, Grace Rwaramba.

Charged Paris: “My dad didn’t like her so he tried to keep her away from us. He would send her to run errands a lot… He said she was sneaky, she was not an honest person and she lied a lot.”

When asked why, if the pop star didn’t like Ugandan-born Rwaramba, he did he not fire her, Paris testified: “He felt bad. She didn’t really have a lot of money.”

However, family sources tell us, Grace has visited Paris in the hospital, including after the deposition was made public.

“Paris loves Grace, and the feeling is mutual. They have a very complex relationship that is complicated by Paris’ aunts & uncles. However, Paris continues to allow Grace to visit. In fact, Paris has specifically asked for Grace to visit,” a family insider previously told us.

Letting it all out: Prince Jackson blows off steam at jiu-jitsu class after being forced to relieve father Michael's last days in court

Training to fight may be one of the best ways to relieve stress.

At least that's what Prince Jackson might tell you, who left jiu-jitsu class in Los Angeles on Sunday looking content and soaked through with sweat.

The 16-year-old son of Michael Jackson wore a black T-shirt sporting the name of the studio he trains at, black shorts and black tennis shoes to his training session.

Prince Jackson to Testify About Dad Michael’s Final Days

Today marks four years from the day [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] died at the age of 50 … and time for his son to speak on his behalf.

In court Monday, Jackson lawyers said thatPrince will take the witness stand after a medical expert concludes his testimony, reports [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. That is expected to happen on Wednesday.
Prince will be the only one of Michael's children to testify in the trial, which is trying to determine if the concert promoter was negligent in the hiring of Dr. Conrad Murray to watch over the star during preparations for his 2009 "This Is It" tour. Paris, who was deposed in the case and was expected to take the stand, won't be doing so because she's undergoing psychiatric treatment following her [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
So what is Michael's eldest child expected to say under oath? He will talk about the iconic star's final days.
Prince was home with his father when he died from "acute propofol intoxication." (Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for recklessly using the powerful anesthesia without proper monitoring equipment to help the singer sleep, leading to his death.) At the age of just 12, the child followed the ambulance carrying his dad to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

During his taped deposition in March, Prince refuted testimony from the family chef, Kai Chase, that his father came home from tour rehearsal and was so exhausted that Prince had to help him up the stairs. Doting father Michael Jackson lavishes attention on his three children in touching never-before-seen photos and home videos

Michael Jackson is seen doting on his three children in touching never-before-seen photos and home videos released on Wednesday.
The moving images were shown as Prince Michael Jackson became the first member of the Jackson family to give live testimony in the wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG.
Prince narrated as the images of his father, who died in 2009 aged 50, lavishing attention on Prince, Paris and Blanket were shown to the jury by Jackson family attorney Brian Panish.

Prince credited his father with instilling in him a desire to learn and to help others. Along with the photographs, family videos have been entered into evidence, some taken by Michael Jackson himself, as he filmed his children and asked them what they want to be when they grew up.
Speaking on the stand, Prince revealed that after telling his father he wanted to be a movie director and architect, Michael gave him tips on how he could one day make films.
Paris and Prince Michael II, or Blanket as he is more commonly known, also figure prominently in the still photo and video exhibits.

During his testimony, Prince said that his father was excited about going back on tour before his death but wanted more time to rehearse and had several tense phone conversations with promoters of his This Is It shows that often ended with the singer in tears.
The 16-year-old said his father remarked after one of the conversations, 'They're going to kill me', but did not elaborate further.
The testimony came in a lawsuit claiming AEG negligently hired Conrad Murray, the doctor who was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter for giving Jackson an overdose of the anesthetic propofol.
AEG denies it hired the physician or bears any responsibility for the entertainer's death.

Wearing a black suit with a dark grey tie and his long brown hair tucked behind his ears, Prince testified that he saw AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips at the family's rented mansion in a heated conversation with Murray in the days before his father died. The teenager said Phillips grabbed Murray's elbow and 'looked aggressive'.
Michael Jackson wasn't at home at the time and was probably rehearsing, Prince said.
Murray's attorney Valerie Wass and AEG defense attorney Marvin S. Putnam later denied outside court that the meeting Prince described ever happened.

utnam said Prince would be re-called to the witness stand during the defense case later in the trial.
'I think as the testimony will show when he is called in our defense that's not what happened,' Putnam said. 'He was a 12-year-old boy who has had to endure this great tragedy.'
For the first time, the teenage publicly provided details about the day his father died. Prince testified that he saw Murray performing CPR on his father, who was hanging halfway off a bed. It appeared his dad's eyes were rolled up in the back of his head, Prince told jurors.
Prince's eyes appeared red as he recalled being told by Murray at a hospital that his father was dead. Prince said he never saw Murray's treatments of his father.

'I was 12. To my understanding he was supposed to make sure my dad stayed healthy,' Prince testified.
Prince said none of the household staff were allowed upstairs at the mansion, and the singer kept his bedroom locked while receiving treatments from Murray.
During cross-examination, Putnam played a clip from a deposition of Prince in which the teen said he discovered the bedroom was locked when he and his siblings were playing hide-and-seek and couldn't get inside.

Prince also said his father gave him and Paris a stack of $100 bills on a few occasions to give to Murray, telling him Murray wouldn't take the money from him, and the doctor wouldn't take the full amount from the children.
The teenager said his understanding was that the money was meant to tide Murray over until he got paid by AEG Live.
Prince's grandmother, Katherine Jackson, sat in the front row of the courtroom during his testimony.
She held a tissue and removed her glasses several times.
The testimony began with the teenager showing jurors roughly 15 minutes of private family photos and home videos.
The trial is expected to last several more weeks.

PARIS JACKSON
Guardianship Will NOT Change
BUT...

Paris Jackson will NOT get new guardians in the wake of her suicide attempt, but TMZ has learned Debbie Rowe is keeping a watchful eye on the situation and could mount a challenge if things get worse.

The guardianship judge had asked a probate court investigator to do some digging after the suicide attempt ... to find out if the guardians were taking proper care of Paris. As you know, Katherine Jackson and TJ Jackson are currently co-guardians.

The report is in, and the judge has decided NOT to change the current guardianship arrangement.

TMZ has learned ... the probate court investigator met with Debbie Rowe -- who has developed an extremely strong bond with Paris -- her biological child. Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Rowe told the investigator she believes TJ is doing a great job as guardian, despite the fact that Paris does not want a man to replace Michael Jackson and tell her what to do.

We're told Rowe also thinks Katherine has done a good job, especially considering her age and health.

But Rowe made it clear ... if the situation gets worse, she will file legal docs for guardianship. For now, however, Rowe believes the guardianship works fine

Prince Jackson poses with grandmother Katherine and girlfriend Remi Alfalah at the star-studded Las Vegas premiere of Michael Jackson ONE

It was surely as emotional as it was a musical spectacular.
Family and fans of the King of Pop were treated to a theatrical adventure through the legend's greatest hits at the opening night the Michael Jackson ONE on Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Leading the crowd at the sold-out show was the late singer's son Prince Jackson, who posed on the red carpet with girlfriend Remi Alfalah and his grandmother Katherine Jackson.

The trio smiled as they made their way into the theatre alongside Michael's siblings Tito, Marlon and Jackie.
The premiere comes four years to the week since the Billie Jean singer was found dead in his bedroom at his Los Angeles home from a suspected drug overdose, leaving behind his three children Prince, Paris and 'Blanket.'
Not spotted on Saturday night was Michael's daughter Paris Jackson, who has been hospitalized in Los Angeles after a suicide attempt earlier this month.

Debbie Rowe on Paris Jackson: "She Is Strong Like Her Father"

Debbie Rowe is opening up about her daughter, Paris Jackson, following her suicide attempt on June 5. In a new tweet posted on Saturday, June 29, Rowe posted to her followers: "My daughter has asked that I extend a huge thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers and support."

Referring to the 15-year-old's late pop icon dad, Michael Jackson, Rowe added, "She is strong like her father."

She also tweeted to Neil Patrick Harris, who tweeted about attending the opening night of One, the Michael Jackson Cirque show at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. "Bring on the awesome!" the actor wrote. Rowe, 54, tweeted to him, asking, "Paris wants to know how you loved it."

The teen is currently undergoing treatment at a psychiatric facility at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif. "This really all comes from her not yet over her dad being gone," an insider told Us Weekly. "It's been so hard to adjust to stepping back into the world."
Of the June 5 incident, a source confirmed that Paris had "cuts on her wrist" and left a suicide note.

"I know Paris freaked out and regretted what she had done after she had done it," another source added. "That's when she cried for help. That saved her life."

'She's strong like her father': Debbie Rowe compares Paris to Michael Jackson as she thanks fans for their prayers

Debbie Rowe has said her daughter Paris is strong like her father Michael Jackson.
The 54-year-old likened the teenager to the Prince Of Pop when she took to Twitter on Saturday to thank her well-wishers for their prayers and messages of support.

PARIS JACKSON
REJECTED
By Rehab Facility

Paris Jackson can't get a break ... her request to be transferred from UCLA Medical Center to a top out-of-state facility has been REJECTED, because the rehab place fears an onslaught of paparazzi.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... UCLA docs will NOT let Paris return home, because they believe she is still a serious danger to herself -- they believe unless she gets more professional help she could end up killing herself.

We're told Paris' biological mom, Debbie Rowe, has researched adolescent facilities around the country and found one in Utah that would be perfect. But our sources say the facility has turned thumbs down on the request, because honchos at the rehab place fear photogs will go crazy and take pictures of not only Paris but other patients at the facility.

We're told Rowe is not satisfied with the other options, so the search continues ... although we're told people connected with Paris are contacting the facility and asking for reconsideration.

In the meantime, our sources say Paris is stuck at UCLA, and she's in the wing that treats patients with eating disorders -- a problem Paris does not have.

Rowe is telling friends, "It's just a tragedy. This girl needs help."

A Prince without a princess: Michael Jackson's son NOT in a Kuwaiti 'royal romance'

King of pop Michael Jackson’s son, Prince, is not embroiled in a “royal romance” with a Kuwaiti Princess, sources told Al Arabiya on Monday.

Reports from tabloid and entertainment news sites earlier this week claimed the 16-year-old could be dating a girl said to be a Kuwaiti princess named Remi al-Falah.

But the first clue to Remi not being royalty, which doesn’t appear to have been picked up by Western press, was her surname.

“Al-Faleh is not a name from the royal family,” a Kuwaiti journalist, who preferred not to be named, said on Monday.

“It is a famous family name in Kuwait. And Remi al-Faleh is not a Kuwaiti princess,” the journalist added.

Earlier this week, TMZ entertainment site posted pictures of Prince and Remi appearing to have fun at a bowling alley and reported the images were taken Wednesday in Los Angeles.

“Remi was dropped off at the bowling alley in a black SUV ... but he drove her home,” TMZ reported, adding that both Prince and Remi attend the same private school, citing a source at the Kuwaiti consulate in the U.S.

“It is said they go to school together, but that’s it,” the Kuwaiti journalist said, adding “I don’t think it’s worth all this propaganda.”

News reports stating that Remi is a princess were circulated mainly by U.S. and UK press throughout the week.

Kuwaiti newspapers also reported the news, but referred to Remi as a “Kuwaiti girl,” not princess, as reported in Kuwait’s al-Seyassah news website on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti al-Rai newspaper reported that Remi’s real name is actually “Mariam.”

“Remi is a nickname … Her mother is American,” the newspaper stated this week, adding that official Kuwaiti sources in the foreign ministry also rebuffed allegations of her ties to the Kuwaiti royal family.

This isn’t the first time a Jackson family member’s ties to the Arab world have been in the news.

Earlier this year, Janet Jackson and Qatari business tycoon Wissam al-Mana announced they had wed at a “quiet, private and beautiful ceremony.” Janet was trying to fight off rumors that her wedding would be a lavish $20-million affair.

Meanwhile, the late King of Pop himself also had his fair share of coverage on his ties to the Arab world.

Michael Jackson spent time in Bahrain as a guest of the royal family following his 2005 trial on child molestation charges.

In April 2006, a statement was released on behalf of Bahrain music label Two Seas Records announcing he would record a new album for release in 2007.

NEWS/ Paris Jackson Is "Doing Well," Not Rejected by Treatment Facility, Says Source

"She is getting better, but this is going to be a long road," a source close to the situation tells E! News. "She is still doing therapy and on medication. It is a long process, but she is doing well."
The 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson has been hospitalized since June 5 following a suicide attempt.
NEWS: Paris Jackson reaches out from hospital through mom Debbie Rowe
Regarding reports that Paris has been turned down by a treatment facility in Utah, our source says it is only "kind of true."
"I never heard anything about a rejection. There wasn't a rejection," insists the source. "There were concerns of logistics, about bodyguards and the privacy of the other patients."
The rehab place in Utah was apparently a treatment facility combined with a boarding-type school.
But the main reason Paris isn't going there is because of distance.
NEWS: Katherine and T.J. Jackson will continue being co-guardians of Michael Jackson's children
"It would make it hard for her brothers and family to see her since she would have been so far away," the source says. "Other concerns included the curriculum of the school, but the biggest was the distance. [Paris' grandmother] Katherine [Jackson] wants to see her and she is in her 80s and she doesn't fly."
But it looks as if Paris' mom Debbie Rowe, who has been busy researching facilities, may have found a place.
"It is in-state," notes the source. "But no specific date has been set for the move."
Meanwhile, Rowe continues to visit her daughter at the hospital every day.
"Debbie is spending the most time with her," the source says.
On Saturday, Rowe tweeted the following on behalf of Paris: "My daughter has asked that I extend a huge thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers and support. She is strong like her father."

Paris Jackson Recovery Update [VIDEO]: Rejection by Utah Residential Program May Be Best Thing For Michael Jackson's Daugher; Confrontational Counseling "Harmful"

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson recently attempted suicide and has since been in treatment to deal with the bullying and familial stress that may have caused her distress.

There is currently a trial for damages surrounding the death of Michael Jackson. Dr. Conrad Murray has warned that he will have to "go nuclear" if forced to testify. Paris Jackson was supposed to testify, but onlookers were concerned about the stress.

Paris was supposedly going to be sent to Diamond Ranch Academy, a Utah residential program. Later it was reported by Mstarz that Paris Jackson was rejected by a Utah residential program. That rejection may have been a blessing in disguise for Paris upon further investigation.

According to CAFETY, a group that represents former students of teen residential programs, former students of Diamond Ranch Academy had the following things to say:

"The difference between that place on a regular day and a day when an interested parent thinking about sending their kid to Diamond Ranch or a health inspector came to look around was as different as night and day."

"After a few months I was able to mail my parents, but mail was closely monitored and read, and they ultimately decided if it was sent or not. If you did anything to expose the ranch for what it really was, you were instantly punished and knocked back down on the level system, promising you an even longer and harder stay at the program. Same with phone calls. They were always monitored and you would be instantly cut off if you said anything that could be deemed as 'manipulative.'"

According to Heal Online, a group that represents former students of teen residential programs, a former student of Diamond Ranch Academy said this about the program's system: "I was stripped of all my possessions except for my shoes and coat. I was told to remove my clothes. My clothes were then searched and I was made to turn around many times, naked, to make sure I had nothing on me. They provided with me a bright orange hoodie and sweat pants. You'd think that the desert is hot all year round. Not in winter. I was told I was to be sent to the first component of the program called "homeless". I was literally homeless. Outside all the time. Breakfast was oats. Not those brown sugary oats you would usually eat for breakfast. It was oats, water, and powdered milk. That's it. That was breakfast every day. Lunch and Dinner were always the same. Either undercooked or burnt rice and a bean called a lentil. That's it. 16 days of freezing winds outside every day. Also the homeless component contained the most rigorous physical training throughout the program. First day I arrived I was to run a mile straight. No walking at all. You walk you'll run longer. I hadn't run more than a few meters in years. First 1/2 a lap I was dying. My chest was burning. Very little oxygen was going into my brain. My other companions in the component attempted to pep talk me to keep going. They were scolded and made to run more. There was no talking between anyone in this component. I staggered my way another 2 laps before just giving up. In this level of the program you had to pass 14 successful days. I failed my first day for this incident. The rest of this level was filled with 2 work projects a day."

Experts say that the coercive approaches found in troubled teen programs just don't work. Maia Svalavitz in Time Magazine cites a review of the literature on such programs: "Four decades of research have failed to yield a single clinical trial showing efficacy of confrontational counseling, whereas a number have documented harmful effects, particularly for more vulnerable populations."

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson may have avoided an ordeal by being rejected by a Utah residential program. In her fragile mental state, Paris Jackson may need a more therapeutic approach than is provided by these programs.

Demi Lovato and Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s Daughter Bond Over Father's Death After Trying to Commit Suicide

Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s daughter, was recently hospitalized for allegedly trying to commit suicide. After the news leaked, Demi Lovato reached out to the teen to talk about the passing of both their fathers and how to cope.

Lovato had also lost her father, Patrick Lovato, who died last month after battling cancer.

“With Demi having just lost her dad, she feels a special bond with Paris. She told Paris about how she’d endured horrible bullying about her weight and her looks and even nasty comments about her estranged father,” said a source reported by Entertainment Wise. “That struck a chord with Paris because of her own controversial father and like Demi, she’s been dieting for years.”

Paris continues to recover from her attempted suicide. The source added that Lovato is a rare true friend in the Hollywood world.

“There are so few people in Hollywood who show up during the tough times but Demi is the real deal,” said the source.

Lovato recently partnered with a mental health charity to honor her late father to help those with mental illness and seeking treatment.

That's one way to impress your girlfriend! Prince Jackson treats Remi Alfalah's little sister to an ice cream

If Prince Jackson is trying to impress his girlfriend it seems he is going the right way about it, by paying attention to her family too.
The 16-year-old son of late singer Michael Jackson, took his girl and her little sister out for ice cream on Sunday night.
It seems that the pudding went down a treat with Remi Alfalah's sibling, who seemed thrilled the the cool snack as the trio made their way down the road.

Remi, a Kuwaiti princess, kept her outfit casual for their date, sticking to a white T-shirt and a pair of black trousers.
Prince also opted for an understated look, wearing a black printed T-shirt and a pair of dark pants.
Prince and his princess met at the Buckley School, an exclusive private school in Sherman Oaks, California, where they are both juniors.

Young love! Prince Jackson and girlfriend Remi Alfalah jet out of LAX as they head for a break away together

They have been practically inseparable in recent weeks, going on several dates for dinner, ice cream and frozen yoghurt.
But now things seem to be getting more serious between Prince Jackson and his girlfriend Remi Alfalah.
The pair made their way through Los Angeles International airport on Wednesday, perhaps for a holiday together.

Both Prince, 16, and his girlfriend, looked low key with Michael Jackson's oldest child sporting a black T-shirt and baggy khaki shorts, black trainers and a necklace.
Remi, a Kuwaiti princess, looked equally low key in a grey and white vest top, leggings and black leather ankle boots.
She held on to a hooded top and aviator sunglasses as she and her adolescent beau strolled through the terminal.

The man in the rearview mirror! Prince Jackson brings cousin Jaafar along as he drops off his truck at the garage

It is only Human Nature to want company during even the most mundane of tasks.

So no wonder Prince Jackson insisted in bringing along his cousin Jaafar as he dropped off his truck at the garage in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

At one point it looked like they were having a Bad day, with the son of the late Prince Of Pop gesticulating as the mechanics gave his motor the once over.

But he soon cheered up, no doubt buoyed by the fact he was spending some quality time with a family member, who is the son of Michael's elder brother Jermaine.

They were locked in conversation after dropping off the vehicle, perhaps discussing where to head next after bidding a temporary farewell to his Ford F150.

The dynamic duo were accompanied on their journey by a burly minder, who was tasked with driving the boys to their next destination after dropping off Prince's vehicle.

Genevieve Jackson on her cousin Paris' life without Michael: "It's rough"

"With the on-going Michael Jackson trial once again gobbling up a large portion of the Los Angeles headlines, on Thursday evening Piers Morgan asked Genevieve Jackson – the daughter of Randy Jackson and cousin of Paris – to share her insight on the complicated life that comes with being a Jackson.

In early June, Paris was rushed to the hospital after cutting one of her wrists. Since her father's death, Genevieve revealed that Paris has been struggling:

"It's rough," the 23-year-old said of her 15-year-old cousin. "But I think for all three of them, for the rest of my family and especially them three because that is - that was their world and that was their father and because, I know for me, when I was in high school, I had to get pulled out of school during the second trial because it was so painful for me and people would ask questions. So I can't imagine what she went through in school and what the other kids are going through."

Speaking publicly for the first time since her uncle's death, Genevieve noted that even though Michael Jackson is gone, his children are using the lessons they learned during his life:

"He taught them to always listen and to watch everything that's around them and to pay attention. You know, they are very, very smart children," Jackson told the "Piers Morgan Live" host. "And to stay strong, to have rhino skin, that's what he says." AA

No sign of Paris as Michael Jackson's sons Prince and Blanket take in a film while their sister keeps low profile three months after suicide attempt

By Heidi Parker
PUBLISHED: 10:57 EST, 23 September 2013

It's been three months since Paris Jackson, 15, attempted to take her own life.

But she was still nowhere to be seen on Sunday as her brothers Prince, 16, and Blanket, 11, took in a movie at The Calabasas Commons near LA.
The only sons of pop icon Michael Jackson, who died four years ago, were escorted by a male friend.

A royal afternoon: Prince takes his brother Blanket out for a movie in Calabasas on Sunday but there's no sign of sister Paris anywhere

Paris has not been seen since her incident and it's been reported that she has been getting treatment ever since in a facility in Utah.

On August 21 RadarOnline posted photos of Paris at her treatment facility. She had short, dark blonde hair and looked happy during a graduation ceremony.
All three Jackson children are still under the care of Michael's mother Katherine Jackson as they live in the LA suburb of Calabasas. In August the matriarch said of her granddaughter, 'She is in a good place, getting the help she needs. She's doing much better. The treatment is going good, really good. She's my baby. It's hard for me, really hard. All I wanted these kids to be is happy.'

Dressed casually but still looking put together in a green snake print T-shirt with a large E on it and matching green cargo shorts, Prince appeared relaxed.
The only thing that made him look like the son of the Grammy winner is a large gold medallion necklace and matching bracelet.
The oldest Jackson sibling looked happy as he joked with his little brother, clad in a bright orange sleeveless shirt and with his hair still being worn long, and a male friend who could have been a bodyguard.
The trio looked cool as they weathered the high 80s during this first day of autumn.

The Jacksons are a rare sighting in Calabasas, a high-income neighborhood that is rich in celebrity residents. Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick call the town home as does Justin Bieber.

Kris Jenner and Britney Spears live in surrounding neighborhoods. Khloe Kardashian used to share a home with Lamar Odom in nearby Tarzana. Keeping Up With the Kardashians has been filmed at the shopping mall, also known as The Commons, where the brothers took in their matinee.

Katherine's son (and Paris' uncle) Randy Jackson, has expressed his unhappiness with his niece's treatment.
In a Twitter rant on August 19, Randy, 51, wrote: 'I don't like that Paris is still in this facility. It's not right. She's been there much too long. She is not psychotic. There is no reason for her to be in a psychiatric hospital this long away from her family. I just hate the fact that you will probably still be there on my brother's birthday. This is not good.'
Debbie denied Randy's claims that her daughter was in a psychiatric hospital.
'As usual you are grossly misinformed,' she tweeted at Randy on August 19.

Just days after the teenager was hospitalized for the attempt on her life, it was reported that her birth mother Debbie Rowe would not seek guardianship of her daughter.
Michael would have celebrated his 55th birthday on August 29.
Talk of the Beat It performer's death has been reactivated thanks to a recent legal situation.

The Jackson family has gone to trial with AEG, the company that was putting on Michael's last tour.
The family has taken out a $40 billion wrongful death suit against the concert promoters claiming that the pressure they put the singer under led to his early death.

If the suit was a gamble by the Jackson matriarch to amass a sizable bank account of her own, it did not pay off.

That’s why it was so surprising when, in 2010, 83-year-old Katherine filed the wrongful-death suit on behalf of her three grandchildren. Even more surprising: it was widely reported that the Jackson family was seeking up to $40 billion from AEG, including $10 billion in lost earnings. (As some of the original allegations in the suit were dismissed by Judge Yvette Palazuelos the total possible award fell to about $2 billion.)

Katherine Jackson told the jury she filed the suit in an attempt to learn the truth about how her most famous son died. However, sources who have had close ties to the family believe the legal maneuver may have had more to do with Katherine’s desire to leave a nest egg of her own to her surviving children—especially her chronically underemployed sons. As the appointed guardian to Michael’s three kids, Katherine has lived quite comfortably on the monthly allowance granted her under the terms of her son’s will. In that document Michael Jackson specifically excluded his father and all his siblings from receiving any funds from his estate; it orders that Katherine’s allowance be reverted to his children upon their grandmother’s death.

If indeed the suit was a gamble by the Jackson matriarch to amass a sizable bank account of her own, it did not pay off. There is still, however, the possibility that the family will appeal the decision.

One Jackson family member who was not in court during the trial is Paris Jackson, the late entertainer’s daughter. A few weeks before the fourth anniversary of her father’s death Paris, 15, tried to commit suicide at the family home in Calabasas, Ca.

That was in early June. Sources close to the family tell The Daily Beast that Paris remains in a therapeutic boarding school somewhere out of state, perhaps in Utah. The teenager had been expressing a desire to see more of—and perhaps go live with—her biological mother, Debbie Rowe, who has a horse ranch in Palmdale, California, about an hour’s drive from the children’s Calabasas home. This caused a schism within the household, according to a family friend who did not want to be named in this delicate situation, as Paris’s older brother, Prince, wants nothing to do with his mother. Prince is not so forgiving of Rowe’s decision to give up her parental rights shortly after their births.

As difficult as the courtroom loss likely was for the elderly Katherine Jackson, what is to come may be even more painful. The Daily Beast has learned that later this month a court hearing is expected in Los Angeles Superior Court in which Debbie Rowe may be named as co-guardian to Paris Jackson.

Michael Jackson: Debbie Rowe Considering Custody Bid for Daughter Paris (Exclusive)

UPDATE Sunday Morning: A conflicting report–another source says Rowe is not planning anything. At the same time, it turns out that at least two people with no standing in way, shape or form may have filed bizarre custody requests about Michael Jackson’s kids. In the end, it’s hoped that level heads will allow the kids to remain in their current situation with Rowe as a devoted, if not legal, parent. Stay tuned…

(Sat night 6:35pm)EXCLUSIVE Sources tell me that Debbie Rowie is seriously considering a bid to get legal custody of her daughter, Paris Jackson. Paris has been at a school for troubled teens since June when she tried to take her own life. Now that the wrongful death trial is over, Rowe is said to be very close to asking the family court judge to turn Paris over to her from Katherine Jackson and her grandson, T.J.

The Michael Jackson estate, meantime, probably would be in favor of that, from what I’m told. They’ve had to endure name calling by the Jackson family, and letters to the executors suggesting malfeasance and the existence of another Michael Jackson will. “They dragged Paris and Prince through that trial for no reason,” says a source close to the case. “They’d each be better off with their own mother.”

Sources also say this would give Paris, who’s been away now from the Jacksons for months, to tell the judge with whom she should live.

I had heard rumblings about this before the jury came back this week. But now the jury has acquitted AEGLive, Rowe may feel this is a good time. If one or both of Rowe’s kids with Michael Jackson, and even Blanket, who is not hers, moved houses, that would also create a huge shift in the power-money struggle between the estate and Michael’s siblings.

Of course, it won’t be so easy for Rowe unless the Jacksons concur with her. If the family mounts an opposition, Rowe will be heavily investigated and questioned as they’ve been.

Soon they won't need security! Prince Michael and Blanket Jackson take part in martial arts classes

Their dad knew how to throw a mean kick on the dancefloor, and it looks like Prince Michael and Blanket Jackson can throw one too.
The two sons of Michael Jackson were seen leaving a martial arts studio following their karate and jiu jitsu classes on Wednesday.
Avid practitioners of the Japanese combat, one wonders whether Prince Michael, 16, and Blanket, 11, could handle themselves without their security detail.

Neither boys are beginners in the field of martial arts, with both earning their blue belts; Prince in jiu jitsu and his younger brother in karate.

The eldest child of the late singer, attends the renowned Gracie Academy in Beverly Hills -- where there are only five belts to be earned in their colour hierarchy, and there's no fast-tracking to move up ranks.
And clearly Prince is being trained by the best of the best, as the Gracie Academy has trained legions of Mixed Martial Arts stars like Brendan Schaub, Nate Diaz, Antoni Hardonk and Rani Yahya.

The colour rankings start at white, then blue, purple, brown and finally black, and for Prince to gain his blue belt, he had to learn another 34 different manoeuvres each with approximately four alternative techniques.
Now for the 16-year old to get a purple belt, he reportedly needs to learn an additional 600 moves, according to TMZ.
In terms of self defense jiu jitsu and karate are not so difference, as the both derive from the same eastern country, are empty handed and focus on technique and power with similar moves.

Lawyer Asks Michael Jackson Estate To Pay $37K Legal Bill For Dealing With Paris’ Suicide Bid

Lawyers representing the son of Tito Jackson have asked the Los Angeles Superior Court to approve close to $40,000 in legal fees as a result of Paris Jackson‘s attempted suicide bid earlier this year.

In court documents filed this week and obtained by RadarOnline.com, TJ Jackson’s attorney, Charles A. Shultz, said he was owed $39,607.50 for his services from October 2012 to today — at an hourly rate of $450.

TJ, 34, is a co-guardian of Prince, 16; Paris, 16; and Prince Michael II, 10, who’s also known as Blanket.

“In such capacity, both TJ and I, as his counsel, have had to address issues regarding security, petitions by various parties claiming to be the biological mothers of (the children) and most recently issues regarding Paris, the details of which are well known to the court,” Shultx wrote in the filing.

“Over the last year, the most time consuming issues related to Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson and events that occurred during the summer month, which the court is fully aware of.

“Time was spent addressing personal and medical issues, addressing court investigation and court inquiries, assisting with treatment options, including choosing treating physician and plan of action, meeting guardians, attorneys and physicians.”

The teenager has been under counsellors care at an undisclosed boarding school since June when she guzzled a bottle of pills and cut her wrists in a failed — but not first — suicide attempt.

Schultz said the 15-year-old’s suicide bid engulfed 43.3 hours of his time.

In the filing, he also documented the work he did to address the guardianship petitions filed by Billie Jean Jackson and Helena Kuta, the latter who sought to compel the children to undergo DNA testing.

“Responding to that Petition required researching rights to privacy and DNA testing,” he said.

He also spent time addressing ”household staffing issues, nanny issues, security guard issues, issues regarding requests from school for Paris and Prince, lease issues for house… issues regarding security and staffing.”

Paris doing better but not out of woods by long shots

Paris Jackson is doing better as she remains ensconced in a Utah boarding school ... but we're told she's riddled with so many problems she could be there "for years."

We've learned Paris had a family therapy session this morning with Debbie Rowe and Katherine Jackson. We're told Debbie and Katherine were on the phone, while Paris was with her therapist at the facility.

Sources say Paris may get a pass to come home for a few days in January, and Katherine is redoing Paris' room for the homecoming.

But the homecoming will be short-lived. Our sources say the boarding school will be home for a long time, very possibly "years."

Prince and Blanket Jackson appear in a sombre mood as they step out following
Dr Conrad Murray's first interview since
his release from jail

Prince and Blanket Jackson looked sombre and forlorn as they headed out on Saturday.
The sons of the late King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, were spotted grabbing a drink and snack to go at a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the Calabasas Commons after Prince got a quick haircut.
The 16-year-old could barely rouse a smile as he joined his younger sibling, who himself continues to rock a long, flowing raven mane almost down to his elbows.
