Jackson Family Feud Update: TJ Jackson to File Legal Papers Friday

TJ Jackson, the temporary guardian of Michael Jackson’s three children, has a Friday deadline to file a petition for full guardianship of Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II. The filing is required by law, but it doesn’t mean he will actually seek permanent appointment.

A source close to TJ tells ABC News, “Until [Katherine] Jackson decides what she wants to do, we are doing what is necessary to stay as temporary guardian.” A judge this week suspended Katherine Jackson’s rights as guardian of the children. A hearing for full guardianship is set for August 22.

More is also being revealed about what TJ and Michael Jackson’s kids told the court when TJ, as the petitioner, applied for temporary guardianship after not hearing from Katherine Jackson, and learning she was with several of her adult children.

According to court papers, ”Petitioner and the Minor Children firmly believe that outside forces were prohibiting their grandmother from communicating with them. The failure to touch base with Petitioner or any of the Minor Children is way out of character for their grandmother. Petitioner is certain that his grandmother would never voluntarily cease communications with the Minor Children, or himself, and he is very concerned about her well-being.”

In other Jackson family feud news, Tanay Jackson, TJ’s half-sister, tells E!News she doesn’t think her 82-year-old grandmother should be guardian of the children anymore. “Me, personally, I don’t think she should continue watching the kids. I just feel like she needs to rest. I feel like she does not need to be under the stress of the whole situation,” Tanay said.

Meanwhile, Trent Jackson, Katherine Jackson’s nephew and confidant who reported her missing, is a bit upset with the family matriarch, but furious at the Jackson siblings who took her to Arizona.

Discussing Katherine’s absence, Trent Jackson tells ABC News, “You can’t just leave for 10 days and not have an excuse where you been.” Trent says it was “improper” for her to be gone for 10 days and not call the grandkids. Still, he blames the Jackson siblings, saying, “If they cared they never would have put her in a position like that.”

Trent reveals to ABC News that the room the Jackson siblings put Katherine in “had no television, no phone, no communication at all.” Trent further says that Katherine “loves her Jermaine, her Janet, her Rebbie” and is “gonna put them above us,” and that Katherine “has been bamboozled” and “needs to listen to the voice of reason” and “do the right thing.”

When asked about the physical confrontation at Katherine Jackson’s Calabasas, California, home earlier this week, Trent said he never expected that to happen. Regarding the recent actions of the Jackson siblings, Trent tells ABC News that Prince told him they have been “planning this since [his] dad died.”

The judge in the Katherine Jackson case needs help deciding to whom he should award permanent guardianship of MJ's children -- so he's ordered an independent investigator to interview the kids ... and report back asap.

According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, Judge Mitchell Beckloff has ordered a probate court investigator named Cary Ornelas to "prepare an investigation report addressing the status of the minor children and their currently suspended guardian, Katherine Jackson."

According to the court order, Ornelas has been authorized to interview the Jackson children at their school ... without notice.

Once completed, Ornelas' report will be submitted to the judge ... for his eyes only.

Michael Jackson's nephew TJ Jackson is currently the kids' temporary guardian, and he has already filed documents asking to make the guardianship permanent.

For her part -- Katherine says she has reached an agreement with TJ under which they will SPLIT guardianship of the kids.

The biological mother of Michael Jackson's two eldest kids has concerns about a plan to permanently change their guardianship - and she wants assurances from the Gloved One's mom.
Debbie Rowe has been following developments in the family's public battle over beloved matriarch Katherine Jackson and is hoping to get more information on a proposal to add Michael's nephew TJ Jackson, 34, as a permanent co-guardian ahead of a court hearing next week, a well-placed source told the Daily News Friday.
"Debbie would like Katherine to consult her before making any changes to the agreement they worked out together after Michael died," the source said. "This would set up a whole different dynamic. She needs to see more details."
Rowe raced back to southern California from a horse show last weekend when she heard family members reported Katherine missing, the source said.
Though she handed Michael full custody of son Prince Michael, now 15, and daughter Paris, now 14, when they divorced in 1999, and didn't intervene after his death, Rowe has seen the kids on more than one occasion in the last three years, the source said.

The visitation was part of an agreement she struck with Katherine directly - a pact that also called for limited interaction with patriarch Joe Jackson, the source said.
Rowe, 53, was concerned about Joe's influence because Michael had accused his dad of physical abuse, sources previously told The News.
"As long as Katherine is still actively involved (with the kids), there shouldn't be a problem. But they never agreed to let TJ be a decision maker. (Rowe) knows TJ from when he was little. She knows he's close to the kids. But she might ask for more custodial responsibility if he's making decisions she doesn't agree with," the Rowe source said Friday.
TJ has been helping Katherine care for the kids at their Calabasas home and was granted temporary guardianship Wednesday amid a familial fracas pitting Michael's three kids against his siblings Janet, Jermaine, Randy and Rebbie.
Prince and Paris voiced allegations on Twitter that they were blocked from speaking with Katherine during a surprise 9-day trip to an Arizona spa organized by the aunts and uncles.

Randy Jackson rants about guardianship deal

Randy Jackson is angry at his mother's attorney for negotiating with his nephew TJ Jackson to share guardianship of the King of Pop's three children after calling an emergency court hearing against her will.

A Los Angeles judge suspended Katherine Jackson as the primary carer of Michael Jackson's kids Prince, Paris and Blanket, and appointed Tito Jackson's son as their temporary guardian amidst a family feud, which began when the matriarch was reported missing last weekend.

The 82-year-old returned to the Calabasas, Calif., home she shares with the youngsters on Thursday after a 10-day "vacation" at an Arizona resort, and expressed her anger at the unexpected court decision.

However, Katherine has apparently made amends with 34-year-old TJ and on Friday (27Jul12), her attorney Perry Sanders announced that the two parties had reached a deal to share guardianship. An official proposal will be filed next week, but Randy Jackson has been left livid by the deal.

He posted a rant on Twitter.com on Friday afternoon, in which he attacked his nephew for challenging his grandma for guardianship and accused TJ of lying when he told the court he was worried his elderly relative was being held by some of her kids against her will.

"When TJ asked my mother if he should ask for temporary guardianship, my Mother told TJ NO -- twice... In order to obtain temporary guardianship, TJ lied to the court. Rebbie, Janet, Jermaine and I would never harm our mother and we are doing our best to protect her and the Estate knows that. I want to know why Perry Sanders would consider a negotiation based on lies," Randy wrote.

Janet Jackson, Others Family Members Barred from Mom’s California Home

(Roland Martin Reports) - The executors of Michael Jackson’s estate have barred a number of the late singer’s siblings, including Janet Jackson, from the California home where their mother, Katherine, is raising the late singers three children.

The details of who is and isn’t allowed onto the Calabas, California is detailed in an email obtained by CNN’s Roland S. Martin.

Howard Weitzman, who represents John McClain and John Branca, sent the email Wednesday to Charles Schultz, an attorney for Mrs. Jackson.

Weitzman writes that after the drama over the last two weeks, which including allegations that Katherine Jackson had gone missing for 10 days and was unable to reach Paris, Prince and Blanket Jackson, which led to her having to share guardianship of the children with another grandchild, TJ Jackson, it is necessary to bar certain family and friends from the property.

“Given the circumstances of the last two weeks, and in order to protect the children and Mrs. Jackson, the Executors believe that it would not be appropriate to allow the following individuals to enter the residence or its grounds and we instruct the security to preclude the following from entering the residence or the grounds: Randy Jackson and any of his children, Janet Jackson, Rebbie Jackson and any of her children, Jermaine Jackson, his wife and any of his children, Janice Smith, or anyone else who was involved in the recent events that led to Mrs. Jackson’s separation from and inability to communicate with Michael’s children, or any agents or representatives of any of these individuals,” Weitzman wrote.

“There will be no other security or drivers allowed on the property except those employed by the Estate of Michael Jackson. Joe Jackson is precluded from entering the property. Howard Mann who is in litigation against the Estate and is working with the Jackson siblings that wrote the “letter” should also not be allowed on the premises.”

The “letter” Weitzman is referring to is the one signed by Randy, Janet, Jermaine, Rebbie and Tito Jackson, alleging that the 2002 will authorizing Branca and McClain to be the executors of estate is fraudulent. Tito later apologized for signing the letter.

“Of course, Paris, Prince and Blanket, T.J. and his brothers, Tito, Marlon, Jackie and their spouses, current security (hired by the Estate), staff (per T.J.), Meg Lodise, Michael Kane, Sandra Ribera, Parry Sanders, Trent Jackson, you (Charles Shultz) and anyone else authorized by T.J. (other than the Excluded Individuals listed above), may enter and remain on the premises,” Weitzman wrote.

Weitzman’s email does not mention Michael’s sister, LaToya, and whether she can visit the property. She has publicly called on her family to stop the infighting.

According to a Jackson family source, the estate is allowed to make such demands because it pays the monthly lease payment on the Calabas home. Katherine Jackson controls the $70,000 monthly stipend the estate allocates to each Jackson child – a total of $210,000 – any way she sees fit, including school costs and other expenses.

Katherine Jackson is currently in the process of trying to purchase the home so the estate won’t be able to dictate such terms, the source said.

Weitzman writes that if law enforcement needs to be made of the letter, Schultz, T.J. Jackson or anyone else is authorized to show it to them.

“It is imperative to the Estate that from this point forward a safe and appropriate environment be provided for Michael Jackson’s children and his mother as well,” Weitzman wrote.

1) When TJ asked my mother if he should ask for temporary guardianship, my Mother told TJ NO – twice.



Answer: Your mother said in her ABC statement that TJ asked her to come back before the hearing, so she understood the urgency and so did all of you. You chose not to bring her home on a flight that would only take 72 minutes. She could have been home and the temporary guardianship would have never been awarded to TJ. You effectively had your mother’s guardianship usurped.

Question is: Why? Maybe to create a situation that you can blame on the evil Estate.

2) The Estate denied Rebbie, Janet and Jermaine access to the house when they returned to home to Calabasas with a letter written by Howard Weitzman, attorney for the Estate, who is not a resident of the home.

Answer: Legally, that is Trent Jackson’s home not yours, not the Jackson family. After you chased down the childrens' SUV returning from Summer School, and burst through the security gate, he had every reason ti be alarmed and evey legal right to deny you entry and call the police.

At the time you didn’t know but you and Janet were caught on surveillance cameras filming Paris and Prince with your cells phones during the altercation. Yet, you haven’t released your cell phone footage.

Question is: Why? Maybe because the spin you were going to feed to tabloid site X17, would be contradicted by the surveillance tape.



3) The Estate is trying to isolate my Mother from her family JUST LIKE THEY DID TO MICHAEL, in order to propagate their lies, financial agendas and to protect a fraudulent will.

Answer: First, there was no Estate while Michael lived for them to manipulate him and control.

Second, Michael complained to June Gatlin that Tohme Tohme was isolating him from his money, bank accounts, accountants, advisors and other reps. Tohme isolated Michael and it was Jermaine who brought him into Michael’s life. Tohme double dipped by working for Colony Capital for commission while he convinced Michael to deal with them and get a finders fee from Michael too.

MJEstate has a lawsuit against Tohme for that AND for giving your brothers property to Julien’s Auction House.

Question is: Why are you not focused on Tohme? Maybe because Michael was able to get out of his control and Tohme has no control of MJ Estate.

Third- Trent Jackson has been your mother’s assistant for many years and put in place by Michael. He has been loyal and attentive to her needs years before Michael died and the MJEstate was formed. Why would he suddenly turn into a uncaring person who could be bought to “isolate” your mother?

4) The same people that are trying to manipulate my mother are the same people that were involved with my brother when he died.



Answer: Again, Tohme Tohme was the one keeping Raymone Bain and others from Michael. When Michael finally figured out what Tohme was doing he was able to get a hold of Frank Dileo who came in March and discharged Tohme in April. Unfortunately, Michael had signed a POA with Tohme that didn’t expire til May, so Frank couldn’t get rid Tohme that easy. Michael then asked Frank to also call John Branca to represent him, and he didn’t arrive on the scene until 2 weeks prior to his death. How is it again that they were around manipulating?

If anyone - Tohme should be your focus and you should be helping the Estate collect evidence against him. If he was mismanaging and absconding with Michael’s funds all of the financial woes that were being reported at the time would totally be understood.

It is curious, that the family allowed Tohme to make a statement at UCLA, even though he’d been discharged by Michael’s request, before introducing Jermaine to announce Michael’s death. Jermaine, by his own book says he introduced Tohme to Michael, but wouldn’t it be ridiculous for us assume that you all are in league with Tohme?

5) In order to obtain temporary guardianship, TJ lied to the court. Rebbie, Janet, Jermaine and I would never harm our mother and we are doing our best to protect her and the Estate knows that. I want to know why Perry Sanders would consider a negotiation based on lies.



Answer: TJ and Michael’s children were not allowed to talk to Katherine as you and sibs took her out of state, and cut of communication. When TJ did finally speak to her, Katherine’s demeanor was unusual and it concerned him.

Who is Lying?

Explain why you took your mother out of state on the pretense of “dr.orders” for a “mini-stroke” when she was preparing a relaxing RV trip with Trent to NM to watch the J5 concert? Instead, you had a Dr. tell her she need rest, took her to AZ, said she was in Canyon Country Spa, at first but she was really at Miravel Spa- disallowed communication at the precise time your sib letter was leaked –

Facts-
A) It wasn’t Katherine’s primary dr.
B) No “stroke”- “mini” or otherwise – according to your mother. Unless you now say she's lying too.
C) Every room at Miravel Spa has phone and internet.
D) Transportation was available to bring her home BEFORE the hearing but you all brought her home 10 hr. car journey
E) The picture of Katherine playing UNO was staged and somehow conveniently sent to X17. By whom? An employee at the spa had them all pose for it?
F) Police were not allowed to talk to Katherine. Her lawyer flew to AZ and he was rebuffed, so he couldn’t talk to her. Her grandchildren could not talk to her. Her nephew Trent, could not talk to her. TJ could not talk to her. Marlon could not talk to her. Even LaToya was kept in the dark.
G) Instead of bringing her home you had Katherine read a statement regarding her ‘not being held against her will’ with Janet, Jermaine, some employee of Miravel, Rebbi and her daughter Stacy stand around her looking scared out of their minds that she’s going to say something that wasn’t on that paper. No questions allowed from ABC.

6) It is clear that anyone who stands up against the Executors of the Estate - John Branca, John McClain and their attorney Howard Weitzman - is denied access to my mother.



Answer: It is clear that since your brother’s death you, Janet, Jermaine, and Rebbi probably have made no effort to extend any sort of familial love to Michael Jr, Paris or Blanket. It baffles the mind to even consider, that after losing the only parent they knew, under circumstances most adults would have a hard time coping with, they were left emotionally adrift by some of their father’s siblings.

If any of you had a loving and trusting relationship with them then you wouldn’t have to storm the Calabasas Estate, and Paris wouldn’t have threatened to call the FBI.

If they trusted any of you, they would have gone with you happily to see Katherine as they have been so desperate that Paris tweeted a number to authorities in the event that anyone sees her grandmother.

Michael Jr posted cell phone proof that you kept Katherine from receiving any communications from them and posted a twitlonger that his father warned him about “certain” individuals and “their ways”.

It is clear to us that you are one of them.

7) It is my fear and belief, that they are trying to take my mother’s life.

Answer: If you believed what you stated in your letter, regarding Michael “despising and not trusting” John Branca and John McClain, then you are three years too late to be worrying about your mother’s life.

Quoting your letter- "Our brother told us, in no uncertain terms and without hesitation in the months prior to his death, that he despised both of you and that he did not want either of you to have anything to do with his life or estate for that matter. “

Again, in months prior to his death John Branca was not involved in your brother's affair.

Your words and behavior must match but
If you believed John Branca and John McClain killed your brother and now are a danger to your mother’s life then-

Why did family members meet with John Branca for the scheduled June 29th 2009, 11am meeting at Jermaine house that Branca arranged? If Michael told you he despised this man you should have raised this issue immediately.

Why, Aug 2009 was Jermaine gushing about how the Jackson family has known these gentleman for 20 yrs and they are wonderful people who will make sure Michael’s wishes would be maintained?

For three years, MJJJP has made no comments about the Jackson family because we held to the belief that we didn’t know everything that goes on in the large and “dynamic” family.

We respect Michael and we felt it disrespectful of his memory to denigrate, critique or question any of his family members.

We held our tongues, in respect to Katherine, and did not sign the fan letter protesting the Wales concert, which failed.

We held our tongues when the wine, belts, jackets, perfumes and assorted items were hawked in Michael’s name by family members, without the permission of the Estate that Michael put in charge of protecting his image.

We held our tongues when his siblings, one by one, threw him under the bus with cryptic mentions of “drug interventions” even though they had signed a letter in 2007 saying nothing like that ever occurred.

We held our tongues when Brian Oxman, attorney now disbarred , was allowed by the Jacksons he represented to make disparaging remarks about Michael within one hr of his passing.

We held our tongues when Katherine signed a contract, without proper legal advice representation with Howard Mann basically enslaving Michael’s children to attend regular scheduled PR events for his fraudulent MJVault.

Instead of going through proper channels from day one and alerting authorities that something was amiss with the 2002 Will, it would seem that you and siblings orchestrated to bring it public by using that letter leaked to Celebuzz and by using tabloid X17.

That, in itself is plenty deceptive, but then to purposely remove Katherine from Michael’s three children, isolate her and use emotional blackmail to abuse them into submission is so calloused and cruel we can be quiet no longer.

Mr. Jackson, you will not win this battle in the court of public opinion. If you have any proof that John Branca or John McClain were instrumental in the death of your brother then it is your duty to stop using social media but bring it forward in a court of law.

Why Janet Jackson became embroiled in family feud involving Michael's kids

"What’s happened to Janet Jackson? How is it that the seemingly calmest, most soft-spoken sibling could be so vicious to her niece and nephews?

One Jackson family member tells The Post the answer is simple: It’s all about money. She’s got some; Michael’s estate has more — Billboard recently estimated its net worth at $1 billion — and her siblings have none. She lives in fear of supporting them.
“Janet’s last three tours have failed to sell tickets, and she’s cut each of them short,” the sibling says. “She hasn’t had a hit record in more than a decade, and she no longer has a recording contract. This family member says that Janet’s net worth is estimated at $100 million but that “she only has money going out and nothing new coming in.”

Her 2011 self-help book, “True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself,” was a best seller, ironic given that she hasn’t been able to detach fully from her destructive family — especially older brother Randy, whom she is said to worship. “Janet has nothing to do,” her sibling says. “And she is devoted to any cause Randy takes up.”

It was Randy, says this sibling, who hatched the plan to remove Katherine from the Jackson home, challenge Michael’s will, remove the children from Katherine’s legal custody and ultimately gain control of the estate.

“Randy thought that if they were to publicly show that [Katherine] was no longer capable of caring for the children and no longer able to handle the day-to-day responsibilities of the house, then Randy could take her position.”

Randy, now 50, enlisted his sister Rebbie, 62, brothers Jermaine, 58, and Tito, 60, and Janet, the sibling says. The coup’s ultimate aim: to overthrow Michael’s estate executors, John Branca and John McClain.
With that, Randy would control the $70,000 monthly allowance Katherine gets from the estate and the $100,000 the children get.
About two weeks ago, Randy pushed the button on the plan.

One can only wonder what the Janet of 1986 — scared, free, struggling to carve her own persona — would make of today’s Janet, back in league with her tormenters against McClain.

And yet, not all is well with her siblings. Janet has fought viciously with La Toya, Jermaine and Jackie.

In 2001, Janet bought a Las Vegas home for her mother with the stipulation that family patriarch Joe Jackson never be allowed to live there, according to Rebbie Jackson. “She never forgave Joseph for what he did to us when we were children. She doesn’t deal with him at all,” Rebbie said.

While Janet has helped pay bills for her mother in the past and paid her brother Marlon’s mortgage for a full year and moved him to Atlanta, she has mostly been careful about helping her siblings with their cash problems.
“They need to get jobs if they think I’m going to do what Michael did for them. They are grown-ass men. I’m not giving them nothing,” Janet said, according to this family member.

While Janet’s relationship with Michael appeared close, the siblings were one another’s biggest rivals. Michael even once asked Janet to stop using her surname when she performed. It wasn’t until after repeated pleas from Katherine Jackson that Janet went to a Santa Maria, Calif., courthouse to show support for Michael during his child-molestation trial in 2005.

While Janet’s fortune remains stable, she fears for her security should she find herself supporting eight siblings and their families.
While Michael was in hiding in Bahrain following his acquittal, Janet started paying Katherine’s bills and giving her siblings money. But she has begun to cut them off.

Randy and Jermaine, who have children by the same woman, had previously requested that the estate pay their back child support, something Branca ultimately approved. Randy once owed as much as $150,000 to his ex.

“It is a fact that the primary reason Janet got involved in Randy’s plan,” says a sibling, “is because she wants to see her brothers control Michael’s money so they won’t come to her anymore.”

After Prince tweeted that his late father had warned him about “certain people,” the family member said one of those people was Janet. Often calling her “evil, selfish and cheap,” Michael warned his children that Janet wouldn’t be the best of aunts.

“I am taking actions that I have deemed appropriate to protect Michael’s children,” TJ said in court. Janet, it’s clear, will no longer be a part of their lives, and this thwarted plan has eroded her power. The three children have been reunited with their grandmother and have vowed to stay as far as possible from their aunts and uncles. Janet’s efforts to give her brothers a financial parachute has backfired.

“[The children] will probably never let this go,” says one sibling. “They certainly won’t forget it. And the ones the family members tried to paint as bad guys are the very ones those children will always see as protectors.”

Diana Ross Will Sign Off On Michael Jackson's Kids New Custody Agreement


Diana Ross will sign off on a new proposed custody agreement in which Michael Jackson's three children, Prince, Paris, and Blanket will have two guardians, their grandmother Katherine Jackson and TJ Jackson, son of Tito, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

"Diana has no qualms whatsoever about the new custody agreement, she only wants what is best for the children. Diana knows that the children are old enough to decide who they want to live with and she defers to what they want. While Diana hasn't been a big part of their lives because she lives on the East Coast, she is very fond of them," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Michael Jackson's will stipulated that if his mother was unable to care for the children, Diana Ross was his next choice.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, last week, Judge Mitchell Beckloff, stripped the Jackson family matriarch of her guardianship of the three children because no one could reach her for over a week. The judge said he made the ruling not because of any wrongdoing on Katherine's behalf, but because she had been prevented from fulfilling her guardianship duties by an "intentional act from third parties." Judge Beckloff told all parties while in court last week, that Diana Ross, and Debbie Rowe, mother of the two oldest children, needed to be provided notice of what was transpiring.

The children have been embroiled in a vicious family struggle for more than a week now as Randy, Jermaine and Janet Jackson battle over the late King of Pop's will, which they claim is fake. Michael's nephew TJ has been a constant presence in the children's lives and their attorney stated in court that they had no objections to him being appointed temporary guardian.

On Friday, it was announced that Katherine and TJ Jackson, would be petitioning to become co-guardians of the kids. The paperwork is expected to be submitted this week and the judge will have to sign off the proposed agreement.
